Spanish Alphabet A to E
Trace the uppercase letters A, B, C, D and E in dotted lines, with a watercolor picture and its Spanish word in every row: abeja (bee), ballena (whale), casa (house), delfín (dolphin), elefante (elephant).
How to use this worksheet
- Point to the big letter and say its Spanish name.
- Say the picture word together, stretching out the first sound.
- Trace the four dotted letters slowly, left to right.
- Say the word once more when the row is finished.
What your child practices
Each row joins a letter shape, its sound and a real Spanish word. Tracing the dotted letters builds pencil control, while saying the word aloud (abeja, ballena, casa, delfín, elefante) builds early Spanish vocabulary. Children don't need to read yet; the pictures carry the meaning.
Spanish sounds to notice
Spanish has five vowel sounds, and they never change: a as in 'father', e as in 'bed', i as in 'machine', o as in 'more' and u as in 'moon'. Two of the five words on this page start with a vowel, so it is a good moment to practice those clean, short sounds.
Who it is for
Made for children around three to five, whether they are learning Spanish at home, at school or hearing it from family. It also works for older beginners who are new to the language. Do one row a day if attention is short, and finish with the bonus of saying every word from memory.
