Missing Numbers 1–10 (Thanksgiving)
A Pre-K number order page with a cozy watercolor fall border. Four rows of numbers from 1 to 10, each with one or two empty boxes, and a pumpkin, acorn, pumpkin pie or turkey at the start of every row. Children count along and write the missing numbers.
How to use this worksheet
- Start at the left of the first row and count the numbers out loud.
- When you reach an empty box, say which number comes next and write it in.
- Finish all four rows, then color the pumpkin, acorn, pie and turkey.
What your child practices
Counting forward from any number up to 10 and writing numerals, two big Pre-K skills. Starting in the middle (4, 5, 6) is harder than starting at 1, so the rows build up. Answers: row 1: 3; row 2: 5 and 8; row 3: 6 and 9; row 4: 4 and 6.
Who it is for
Made for Pre-K children around four to five who can count to 10 and are learning to write their numbers. If writing is still tricky, let your child say the number and trace it on a dotted version you write lightly in the box.
Keep it going
Write the numbers 1 to 10 on paper leaves or turkey feathers, hide one, and ask which one is missing. You can also count down from 10 together at bedtime to practice the order both ways.
