Match the Pairs (Halloween)
Four cute watercolor Halloween pictures on the left (a bat, a ghost, a jack-o'-lantern and a black cat) and the same four mixed up on the right. Children draw a line from each dot to the matching picture's dot.

Parent tipBefore drawing any lines, let your child point to a picture on the left and find its twin on the right with a finger. Tracing the path with a finger first makes the pencil line much easier.
How to use this worksheet
- Name each picture on the left together: bat, ghost, pumpkin, cat.
- Find the same picture on the right and draw a line from dot to dot.
- When all four are matched, color the pictures.
What your child practices
Looking closely to find things that are the same, an early thinking skill behind sorting and reading. Drawing dot-to-dot lines also builds pencil control.
Who it is for
Made for preschoolers around three to four. Lines can cross and wobbly lines are fine. If four pairs feel like a lot, cover the bottom two rows and do two at a time.
Play a matching game
Turn it into a memory game: draw two of each picture on paper cards, mix them face down and take turns finding pairs. It practices the same skill with lots of giggles.
